![]() ![]() Should I watch it just for context?Įdit: I'll start watching in 30 minutes. And that girl broke up with me a day after we saw it. Prisoner of Azkaban can't claim the same, I've only seen that once. ![]() I loved it! I saw the movie, finally, for what it was. Without the stench of stupid can't-wait-until-after-to-break-up bitch wafting over me. To the movie's credit, and proof of just how good it is, about a year later I decided that I should give it a second chance. I never wanted to punch someone more in my life than that character. Holy shit if I thought I was annoyed and angry before, that character not only twisted the dagger but pulled it out and plunged it back in several times. Especially as Korben and Leeloo began to fall in love. Having to sit next to the person who just ripped my heart out. I couldn't enjoy the movie under those circumstances. ![]() I was stupid and should have just left and said "Call a friend, and find a ride home" but I was just too damned nice. That was her way of breaking up with me, right before the movie even began. She pulled her hand away, shook her head, and said, "No thanks." The previews rolled, the lights dimmed, and I went to hold her hand something we'd done many times before in the the theater. I was 19, so technically still a dumb (in my case) teenager. ![]() While this movie is easily in my top 5 favorites of all time, seeing on the big screen was one of my top 5 "Days of Hell" I've ever had.
